ROAD NETWORK IN AND AROUND JOS;
Trunk roads with tarmac surfaces connect Jos, and other towns in the State with the main towns in the country in addition to the tarmac road network in and around the city. Following the recent reconstruction of the road network in and around the city and the State as a whole getting around in the state and the city is no longer a difficult task. There are motor packs all-around the city and the state to facilitate the transportation of people, goods and service, in, around and outside the State efficiently.
However the most popular means of transportation mostly within the city of Jos are 100cc - 125cc Chinese made Jingsheng and Zongsheng motor cycles, and Indian made Bajaj Boxer motor cycles popularly called Going, Achaba or Okada. They generally make movement within Jos very easy and efficient but they have also proven to be very dangerous because of the risky way some riders ride them and the history of accidents involving them that have been recorded over the years. Other means of road transportation in Jos is the use of taxi services or the use of commuter bus services that are very popular within the Bukuru - Jos and Jos - Bukuru road among others.

RAILWAY IN AND AROUND JOS;
Even though the Nigerian Railway network has been facing a big crisis and has not been functionl for quite some time. Jos, the Plateau State Capital, has been an important terminus in the Nigerian Railway network. Main railway line passenger services with restaurant carriage facilities used to operate between Jos, Lafia and other towns on the railway network in the country. Goods services operate over the same routes when it was functioning.
